Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork. Andrew Norwell Jersey .com) - The buzz is indeed back in Charlotte. Kemba Walker hit a pair of clutch jumpers with time winding down, the last coming with 5.1 seconds remaining in overtime to give the re-branded Hornets a historic 108-106 comeback win over the Milwaukee Bucks at a raucous Time Warner Cable Arena. Charlottes first game since the former Bobcats reclaimed the Hornets name held by the citys initial NBA franchise was certainly one to remember, and Walker made sure. The standout point guard forced overtime by draining a tough 3-pointer with 1.6 seconds left in regulation, then later capped a 26-point night with a successful step-back for the winning shot. The Hornets overcame a 24-point third-quarter deficit to prevail, the largest comeback victory in club history. To be honest, I think (Milwaukee) played a lot better than we did, Hornets head coach Steve Clifford remarked. I did like the fact that when the game was on the line in the fourth quarter, at the end of the third and in overtime, we really tried hard to guard and we did a lot better. And guys made big plays. Marvin Williams added 19 points and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 17 with eight rebounds to aid the rally, with Al Jefferson contributing 14 points and 10 rebounds. Milwaukee, coming off a league-worst 15-67 campaign, played well for much of the night under new head coach Jason Kidd before wilting down the stretch. Brandon Knight totaled 22 points, 13 rebounds and eight rebounds in a losing cause, with Khris Middleton and O.J. Mayo each tallying 17 points for the Bucks. Jabari Parker had a quiet NBA debut, however, managing just eight points and four rebounds in 37 minutes in the Milwaukee rookie and former Duke stars return to the Carolinas. It was everything I expected, two great teams going down to the wire, Parker said. The better team won today, but were going to get better. The Hornets official return to Charlotte was anything but a cause to celebrate at first, as a 13-0 Milwaukee run capped by a pair of Knight 3- pointers staked the Bucks to a seemingly commanding 74-50 lead with the third quarter not yet halfway through. Charlotte slowly chipped away, however, pulling within 83-68 at the end of the third on Walkers 3-point play and getting the margin under double digits when Lance Stephenson fed Cody Zeller for a dunk to make the score 85-76 with 9 1/2 minutes remaining. The Bucks were up by six with 1;25 to go, but Williams sank a 3-ball and Kidd- Gilchrist made 1-of-2 free throws after a Knight miss to trim the lead to 97-95 with 20.4 seconds showing. Milwaukee had a chance to put it away when Middleton was fouled by Stephenson with 7.6 seconds left and the Bucks up 99-97, but he missed the first foul shot before hitting the second. That set the stage for Walker -- who struggled with his shot for much of the game -- to dribble to the top of the key and calmly bury a 26-footer that extended the game. Neither team got ahead by more than two points in overtime, with the Hornets evening things at 106-106 on Gary Neals one-handed layup with 44.6 seconds to play. After Parker misfired on a short jumper, Walker got the ball back in his hands out of a timeout and swished through a long two while pulling up. Those last-second, last-minute shots, I love those situations, Walker said. I love to win games for my teammates. Those guys put me in the right situations to hit those shots, and I made a big one. Middleton had an open look at a game-winning three as the clock ran down but was off the mark. After Charlotte owned a slim 25-24 edge at the end of an evenly played opening quarter, the Bucks took control in the second behind their second unit, which outscored Charlottes reserves 20-6 over the first 5 1/2 minutes of the period. Mayo led the charge by dropping in eight points during the surge, the last three coming on a long transition jumper that put Milwaukee up by a 44-31 count nearing the midway mark of the frame. The Bucks were up by as many as 14 points in the first half and carried a 57-46 lead into the break on the strength of 13 points from Mayo and 12 out of Middleton. Hed rather the team win its first World Series championship since 1988. Kershaw scattered four hits over six innings, Carl Crawford and A.J. Ellis each homered and drove in three runs and the Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 11-0 Friday night. Kershaw (16-9) lowered his ERA to 1.83, becoming the first pitcher to lead the majors in ERA in three consecutive seasons since Atlantas Greg Maddux from 1993-95. "I try not to take that lightly," Kershaw said. "Its a huge honour." The left-hander joined Houstons Roger Clemens (1.87) and Bostons Pedro Martinez (1.74) as the only qualifying pitchers since 2000 to post an ERA under 2.00. Kershaw is the first Dodgers pitcher to do so since Sandy Koufax had a 1.73 ERA in 1966. "Its too hard to think about all that stuff. Right now theres not much time to look back. You need to keep going," Kershaw said. "You can look back in the off-season a week or two. Thats when you can enjoy it." Kershaw struck out eight and walked none in totalling a career-high 236 innings this season. Favored to win the NL Cy Young Award, he leads the league with 232 strikeouts. "If we had gotten this guy some runs, he would have won 25, 26 games this season," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. "He just attacks. Its like the scoreboard isnt even there. He goes after people." Kershaw doffed his cap to the sellout crowd of 52,367 during a curtain call in the sixth, mouthing the words "Thank you." His next start for the NL West champions will come in the division series opener Thursday at Atlanta or St. Louis. "You want to gain some momentum going in there," said Kershaw, who hasnt pitched in the post-season since 2009. "Getting to the playoffs is nice. Unless you win that whole thing no one remembers." Kershaw ended the regular season by tossing 13 scoreless innings over his final two starts. "Hes had a great year," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "His command and stuff, he puts them both together, and theres some deception. Hes the complete package for a pitcher, and hes left-handed on top of it. Hes as good as there is right now in our league. Logan Cooke Jaguars Jersey. " Colorado rookie Collin McHugh (0-3) gave up a career-high eight runs and nine hits in four innings, struck out three and walked one. "Its been a long year for me and a long year for my wife and my family, so its hard to say whats going to happen next year," he said. "Im going to take this off-season and work on what I need to do to get better and what I do best, and hopefully come back and contribute another day." The Dodgers Juan Uribe and Mark Ellis each had three hits and drove in two runs. Crawfords three-run homer in the fourth scored Kershaw, who singled, and Yasiel Puig, who walked, for an 8-0 lead. Adrian Gonzalez got his 100th RBI of the season with a solo shot in the third that extended the Dodgers lead to 5-0. He joined Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder as the only players to reach the century mark six or more times in the last seven seasons. Los Angeles jumped on McHugh in the first, taking a 4-0 lead with two outs on a two-run double by Uribe and RBI singles by A.J. Ellis and Mark Ellis. A.J. Ellis hit a two-run homer off reliever Jeff Manship in the fifth. Mark Elliss RBI single with two outs in the sixth made it 11-0. NOTES: It was the Dodgers biggest shutout win since beating Pittsburgh 11-0 on Aug. 14, 2012, and their largest at home since an 11-0 victory over Arizona on July 7, 2004. ... Puig fouled a pitch off his left shin in the fifth and was hobbling as he flied out to right field. He then left the game. X-rays were negative. He might sit out Saturday. ... Rockies RF Michael Cuddyer went 0 of 4, dropping his league-leading average to .333. In pursuit of his first career batting title, he has a nine-point lead over Atlantas Chris Johnson. ...
